In the world of student transportation, there’s a lot of wisdom to be gained from experience. That’s why School Bus Logistics is thrilled to offer speaking engagements and operational consulting from our very own Greg Jackson, STN National Transportation Director of the Year (2019). With two decades of experience under his belt, Greg brings an unparalleled understanding of transportation logistics, legislation, and best practices to your business or next event.

Greg Jackson’s keynote address was a high point of our Annual Boulder Valley School District Transportation In Service. PUPIL-TRANSPORTATION FINANCIAL CONSULTING

Get an analysis of your current costs of operation compared to industry norms, a status review of internal controls and procedures (e.g. labor; purchasing and inventory controls; payroll management), state-aid submissions on your behalf (if appropriate), and recommendations aimed at enhancing the efficiency of the operation while maintaining the level of service desired by the district.

FLEET AND MAINTENANCE CONSULTING AND EVALUATIONS

We will also include our review of maintenance programs such as data tracking and management, mechanic training, staffing levels, inspection history, scheduling, inventory tracking, and purchasing.

MAINTENANCE CONSULTING SERVICES

Get a thorough review of your maintenance program, including scheduling procedures, software use, financial practices, maintenance staffing levels, employee training, and more. We’ll also review historical inspection reports, bus-maintenance records, inventory and purchasing procedures, and management systems. We’ll create a staffing profile integrated with fleet data to understand and assess the cost and effectiveness of your system.

BID AND RFP MANAGEMENT CONSULTING SERVICES

Get advice on the best methodology to achieve a quality contract for your school bus services. We’ll help you evaluate options, including the impact of alternatives that the district might consider. Get insights on key issues such as contract terms, fleet configurations and profiles, pricing methodologies, operating mandates, alternatives, and more.

STAFFING AND LABOR CONSULTING SERVICES

Get a thorough review of your district’s labor program, including the existing labor agreement, staffing levels and schedules, training programs, recruitment and retention, labor costs, and more. We’ll perform a detailed review of the labor agreement and conduct interviews to create the best recommendations for enhancement.  Our experience is second to none in the area of labor-agreement language.

POLICY CONSULTING SERVICES

Get a review of all formal policies and regulations of your district. Depending on state regulations, we will identify any areas that we believe should be addressed by your district or areas where we believe the policies or practices might be inconsistent with regulations or industry guidelines.

Our goal is to streamline and simplify clients’ routing needs in a way that helps to cut budgets and time.
