We've Added Compton Unified School District and Montachusett Opportunity Council to Our Client Roster

Recently, School Bus Logisitics added California’s Compton Unified School District and Montachusett Opportunity Council in Massachusetts to our client roster. Established in 2010, School Bus Logistics (SBL) has helped school districts optimize routing to aid in budgetary efficiencies and safe transportation of school children.

The clients will use Route Management Services, a turn-key routing solution for districts that maintains routing safely and efficiently. Through this offering, transportation departments can eliminate inefficiencies, reduce overall routes, and increase school districts’ savings—especially crucial in this time of driver shortages. By streamlining how bussing is handled, routing can function at 100%.

SBL will be handling routing for Montachusett Opportunity Council (MOC) beginning with a route optimization analysis in order to reduce overall costs for the organization. MOC helps families and individuals across the North Central region of Massachusetts by providing opportunities and resources to achieve economic stability. SBL will provide routing services, utilizing Transfinder, to help retain lower costs of transportation to those families who need it.

We’re excited to have School Bus Logistics help us streamline our transportation routes,” stated Kevin Reed, Montachusett Opportunity Council executive director. “Our current routes and schedules are strained by a complex geographical area combined with varied work and education needs of the families we serve. We’re always looking for ways to best meet those needs while improving efficiencies, and we’re fortunate to have the expertise of the SBL team to help us reach that goal.

Compton Unified School District has been using SBL for the past two years for school startup routing. Due to their use of a bus contractor, they need routes at least two weeks prior to the start of school in order for the contractor to conduct dry runs. SBL will now be providing them with year-round service utilizing Versatrans software as well as RouteHub from SBL which streamlines communication.

It’s always exciting to bring on new clients and to grow the accounts of existing ones. Through Route Management Services, we are able to provide schools and ancillary organizations with complete turn-key routing. We can quickly build, develop, and manage all routes and student changes as well as handle the maintenance and upkeep of their current routing software,” said Robert Jacobus, CEO and founder of School Bus Logistics, “Because of this, we can cut routes, adjust bell times, and save districts money.

SBL plans to attend several trade shows this year including the CASTO Conference. During these events, they will showcase Route Management Services which provide districts with complete turn-key routing with a focus on improving customer service to schools and families.
