We've Added New Staff!

Our three new staff members will help to bring on more clients and provide them with the personalized route management SBL is known for. The hires include Scott French, transportation consultant, Jim Bergeron, route logistics specialist, and Barbara Reyes, route logistics manager. Each brings vast experience and expertise to the already knowledgeable staff.

Scott French brings more than 40 years of industry experience and insight to the team. He began his career as manager of the Swift River Bus Company in New Salem and Orange, Massachusetts. After spending 12 years there, he moved to Colorado and spent the next 13 years as supervisor of transportation and risk manager for Widefield School District, which is located just south of Colorado Springs. Since 2001, Scott has been the director of transportation for three large Colorado districts: Aurora Public Schools, the Poudre School District in Fort Collins, and Littleton Public Schools.

French has served as a legislative representative for the Colorado State Pupil Transportation Association, and was asked by the Colorado Department of Education to be a state delegate representing them at the 16th National Congress on School Transportation. Currently, French is serving a four-year term as a state-appointed representative of the Colorado Department of Education Transportation Advisory Council for the Denver Metro area school districts.

"When Scott and I discussed his willingness to come on board with SBL, I jumped at the opportunity. Not only does he understand the workings of school bus transportation, he is an active member of the industry and part of the team helping to modernize pupil transport," says Robert Jacobus, CEO and founder of SBL.

Jim Bergeron is an experienced school bus operations and route management professional with nine years of industry experience. During this time, he successfully managed driver performance issues and collaborated with bus companies and school districts to establish routes and utilizing Versatrans and Transfinder software to create and update them.

With more than 20 years in the industry, Barbara Reyes brings a working knowledge of driver needs as well as expertise in routing, operations, and logistics. During her time at Littleton Public Schools, she developed and oversaw routing for more than 7,500 students and 26 in-district sites as well as numerous out-of-district sites.

Welcome to the team!
